New Additions To The Popular Alpiner Collection With Alpiner Quartz
Alpina introduces four new Alpiner Quartz timepieces to its collection.
Alpiner origins
Inspired by an Alpina automatic model from the 1950’s, the contemporary Alpiner line embodies the concept of Swissness to the fullest. It features the clean lines, essential dial design, and the intrinsic quality, reliability and finishes that distinguish the Swiss Manufacture.
After the success of its first sports watch called the “Block Uhr” in 1933, featuring a rigid and reliable steel case and a patented new type of crown, Alpina launched the concept of 4 giving birth to the first Swiss sports watch in 1938, a combination of four key characteristics that Alpina deems essential to create a sports watch: anti-magnetic, anti-shock, water-resistant and stainless.
These features are vital to the adventurous Alpina watch ambassador, ensuring high performance and reliability, tackling the entire alpine sports’ universe, from the Alps to the ocean.
The new Alpiner Quartz watch
The Alpiner Quartz fills the need for a classical sporty entry-level timepiece within the Alpiner collection. Quintessential expression of the brand's sporting elegance, the sophisticated AL-240 quartz movement hosts hours, minutes, seconds and date window at 6 o’clock protected by a scratch-resistant convex sapphire crystal fixed in a 42mm diameter case and water resistance up to 100m/330ft.
Keeping its elegant and sporty design from its automatic version, this new mode becomes a real value for money piece at a very accessible price point.
Three of the versions have an all stainless-steel bracelet and one a beautifully crafted brown leather strap. There is also an array of 3 dials: the iconic “glacier blue” comes with a sunray finish along with dark grey and silver which all bare hand applied silver luminova indexes.
These new quartz models give Alpina enthusiasts a timeless sports piece while ensuring full performance under the most extreme conditions.
